What's good for your soul? VOLUNTEERING!

Where would a community be without the many volunteers who give back their expertise, talents, and time to benefit others?

WE WANT YOU!

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.Making a difference in your community starts with the Mountain View Arts Society. It's flagship, the Mountain View Arts Festival, has a committee that works on the festival celebrations all year round. As a supporter of our local art scene there are a variety of ways you can participate as a volunteer.

If you would like to become a "Festival Goodwill Ambassador", join us in 2021. Whether you're an individual or if your entire club or group want to help out, just say the word and we'll find a spot that showcases your talents and energies.

We believe if our volunteers know what is expected of them, they tend to be more satisfied with their involvement. Our Volunteer Job Descriptions list below will give you an idea of what we're looking for. We believe sharing the volunteer workload helps make each task more manageable. If you see something that interests you, let us know. We welcome individuals of all ages and abilities, as well as service clubs and non-profit organizations.

One of the volunteer positions is to greet people at the gates. For our 2021 Arts Festival, we are looking for volunteers who might like to help out on Festival Days. Positions are many and varied. Some examples are: helping children make this year's Make-Your-Own-Souvenir crafts, assisting with set-up and take-down, or even stage hands at the Main Stage or hosts at the Museum.

The only qualifications are that you enjoy working/playing with others and helping people have a good time.

Hours vary from task to task, but generally 1 - 3 hour shifts, one or both days (September 11th or 12th) or for set-up and take down.

We hope you will help us spread the word about the Mountain View Arts Festival in Didsbury. This festival provides us an important opportunity to keep the citizens of Didsbury and Mountain View County aware of the importance of the arts in our region.

Let's work together to make a difference in our community!

Those who can, do.
Those who can do more, volunteer.

Thanks to our 2021
